Westwood House, Day 2.

Now that I've more acclimated myself to my new surroundings, time to actually write about 'em. Why? Because I want to. Why do I have justify writing this blog? I'll ask my therapist on Friday. Nah, too much else to cover.

I realized something I definitely like about living here. As silly as it may seem, I have stuff to DO. At my Mom's, all I did was sit around. Maybe this literally just happens to coincide with an increase in my recovery, but I'm feeling good. Still in a bit of pain, so I AM taking painkillers, but in highly limited amounts, for obvious reasons.

To me, productivity means: cutting up lots of veggies for myself, getting things organized, and I cooked dinner for myself and two tenants - chicken thighs with sauteed onions, mushrooms, than slowly simmered in tomato marinara sauce and herbs. This was served with quinoa, because it IS still Passover.

Hey, I keep kosher ONCE a year, okay?

We're going to get a new DVD player (the old one died), and watch movies with Barbara, and even though she's not family, she's starting to feel like it. I like it.

Tonight I have to go have dinner with my Dad's friend who I think is crazy, but whatever.

Almost done with Jane Austen's "Persuasion". I was going to finish it, but I had to call DirecTV. Sounds silly, I don't mind doing these things. Because at least I'm doing.

Oh, on another note: My Dad ate the rest of my Macaroons. I'm highly annoyed. I mean, he REALLY has no self-control!!
